Nowhere Land

Nowhere Land

The sun was shining brightly, it was a beautiful night.
The deaf man told me he heard the birds singing,
And the blind man told me he saw the pigs flying.
Then the mute man, well he just said ‘hi’.
I could have answered, but I didn’t want to.
I can see all and hear all, if I choose to.
Did you know that on a full moon, the dead come to life?
There’s much you don’t know, and that’s a good thing.
They tried to make me talk, but I didn’t.
They thought they could break me, but they couldn’t.
“Did you stab your parents?”
They’ll never know.
“Were you abused?”
They’ll never know.
“Can you hear me?”
Oh, I can hear you, I just don’t have to listen.
I’m in my own world now.
You see, I found it behind a door tucked away,
At the back of my brain.
Only I had the key, of course.
In my world everything works my way.
I think I’ll stay here forever.
No one can hurt me again.
