Green Tea

Green tea can kill you.

Green tea?
I love it.
Diet, however
keeps me above it.

"Don't drink the green,"
Is Doc Sawbon's claim.
"If you die young,
I won't take the blame."

He keeps telling me
To lay off the green
So what is his problem?
Are all doctors mean?

Or just hate to lose patients
Because of thin blood?
Should I obey him
and give up that crud?

My wife says "listen
Don't be Elmer Fudd."
I must follow her orders
Or my name will be mud.

Oh well.
At least I'm not pushing up daisies
because of blood thinners.

Henry! Always a pleasure to read your work, love the humor and advice...

Be always safe,

Maybe an occasional cup will see you through. Maybe a cup every year on the anniversary of your pacemaker--how would that be?
Make sure you don't have it with broccoli, though. Blood thinners and broccoli don't go well together, either.
I am very partial to Tea poems, and to tea. You have my sympathy.
