Ode to Lazy perhaps?

Today is a perfect day.

A day I have all the luck.

It’s the day I sit down and

Never get off my butt.

As I pen this poem

the dust is piling deep.

Now that I live alone,

Rarely the floor I sweep.

My house has gone to hell

But on my chair I’ll stay.

Sighing I say, “Oh, well…

Online I’d rather play.”

For twenty years I toiled hard

Working the graveyard shift.

Now I’m old and tired

And enjoy the time I sit.
