Thoughts when a change in plans were necessary on Memorial Day holiday.

Far away on a distant hill
Lie my baby and my brother, Bill
And my beloved Mom and Dad
That I can't be there, is sad.

On a higher level
I can always revel
That they are near
I need not fear
That I am not on the distant hill.

I give to them in thought
The flowers that I bought
And rejoice in the peace
Of the Spirit's release.

Touching, very much so. Sometimes rolling with the punches is not nearly as easy as some might think. But what else to do?
