My life has been touched by people who are comfortable with anyone any where.

I like old shoes.
They tread all paths
Walk any where
Leaving the wearer
And the Path
Comfortable.

This brings to mind the many shoes that my father use to wear as he hiked the country trails. The art of walking sometimes seems faded.Great poem.

For me this seemed out of place. The entire vibe of the poem itself really suggested to me that it would have much more suited for a haiku format to justify the length and it would have forced you to really work for each line to individually mean something while still supporting the overall meaning of the work. To me, it was a very relateable topic which is cool, but I just felt like the metaphor was too straight forward for its own context. These quick snappy poems are entirely hit or miss in the sense that either that have to just bleed emotive technique and feeling or they have to be very thought provoking, while this just was all there. Sorry, I'm sure it's just a personal prefferense kind of thing. Nice poem, just not really my style.

i like new shoes.
they make new paths
walk in new direction
leaving it's owner
and it's new trails
with a clean slate.

*i really liked what you had written here. I had to add my own little piece, i hope you do not mind. I can't wait to see what is to come.

So do I! Comfort and character taking precedence over flash now. New shoes can give you blisters, but once worn in they can be like old shoes, too. And those blisters can teach us. Enjoyed Rosemarie...

There is great comfort in things familiar, they help feel at ease in our own skins. Old shoes can be like that to.

Great write and perhaps similiar to my own write of a few weeks back entitled Old Boots, except you seemed to have said a whole lot more with a lot less words. Great job.
