It is the day that I relive

Four years now come and gone

I find that morning inside my head

And each eleventh morning of that nine month

The dawning beckons

And I am powerless to hold off the light

Light that will bring with it more pain

Light that will rain down a darkness

Darkness that leaves me shrouded

In memories I cannot release

Without the memories, I would be without you

So I have learned to embrace that sorrow

Which means I also must embrace

The dawning

Do you know I still duck in apprehension

Each time I hear those engines roar

I still see a flash of your shadow

When a cloud crosses the sun just so

So close I could touch you

And so distant I will never reach you

The eleventh day has struck again

Zero hour

Upon me

Four years now gone and come

While that traitor blue sky

Shines down a traitor promise

And once again

The dawning beckons

I can no longer hold off that light

That will rain down only darkness

Darkness that drowns me

In memories that will not be freed

But no memories means no you

And so I freely embrace that sorrow

As I must embrace my destiny

And wrap reluctant arms around the dawn

Cade,

A powerful, moving rememberance...well done!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

I will never forget, either. :(

Cade,

And so we move forward, forever hugging those lost. Your work captures the essence beautifully.
