i woke up in masses of black space,
trying to mentally erase what I thought
i had just been through,
trying to believe that the
screams were only in my dreams and
the yellow eyes were remnants of the
movie I had seen the night before...

i couldn't make out what she was
saying on the telephone but the screams
got louder and louder and they began to
be accompanied by swings and punches to
demons unknown to me and all i could do
was stare; frozen in time by the part of
my mind that assured me that this was not real...

i saw him rise and used tones that were
synonymous with emergency, yet i wasn't sure
which part of the situation he felt most
helpless in...
i watched them try to take control of a
situation that was out of control and nodded
my head in agreement with the thought that spoke
to me about their bout against guilt...

and then i heard sirens...

i watched the pushing resulting from the pushing
and the screaming resulting from the screaming
and the force that should have been shown before
now being forced in a space that pushed me into
outer space...

the door closed and
all was quiet except for
my head...
i saw what i saw...

i wonder have you ever seen your sister
