The music lays its bars down, to move the soul,

It lives and breathes and moves, a life of its own.

My thoughts blaze quixotic, as it envelops the space around me,

Spuring the rise and fall of emotions....

Enticing that brightness, shine, like new morning sunlight,

As the rhythm, the tempo, get ingrained in my mind.

Playing my heart strings like a classical violinist,

My focus unbreakable, close to hypnotic.

With enviable ease I slide into the groove,

Like a jazz riff my heart beats in time with the metrome, flawless, smooth.

Tempestuous bass flows make hearts beat quick,

While downtempo beats and slick guitar licks slow it down forthwith.

Hi Jimmy
I live music too. Trouble is, I often can't go to sleep at night because of a tune whizzing round in my brain. Cheers! Liz

Jimmy, you've expressed the sound of music in a beautiful way. Loving music too, I have often felt these same feelings with each note. This write brings visions and sounds of musical notes drifting through the air and into the heart. Loved it!
