These aching Hands that Heaven heals
So they may Heal in turn;
Two Candles lit into a Torch
Through which God’s powers burn.

Skin color, creed, Religion
In time will matter not
   But only God’s deliverance
   Through Hands, as Jesus taught.

   Folded Hands in quiet Prayer
   And Hands which Heal by Touch,
   To all Mankind, a Legacy,
   Hands may mend so much.

   Hands can help a child in need,
   Can raise a roof, and plant a seed
   Hands can do anything, indeed
   Hands may mend so much.

   Remember this when times are Dark
   And all seems lost to you,
   Touch those about in greatest Need,
   And know what Hands can do.
