Christ knew and yet He still endured the pain of the cross. "Thank You Father"

He Knew © Before His birth in Bethlehem Christ knew His fate was sealed. He came to die so we might live He was the perfect shield. God knew the cross was waiting, and the pain His son would bear, those brutal savage beatings and how His flesh would tear. Through torment and agony, excruciating pain, He never begged for mercy, they never saw Him wane. Courage was personified; maybe called a different word, for He knew about those rusty nails and all that they inferred. Long before they hung Him there, He wrote His final chapter. He let them think they held His fate, but no one was His captor. Though He knew the cross was coming, the very hour and the day, He chose the path that He would walk, aware the price He’d pay. Christ-Savior-Messiah, Jesus-God, or King. however you may know Him, remember when you sing: He knew, He knew, the cross was no surprise, He knew, Christ Knew, He also would arise. Don Balsley

How He knew! And yet His love kept Him focused on being our Ransom, knowing we could never pay the price. Thanks Donald.

Donald,
Yes Donald, Christ knew the path He would be taking. He lived His life knowing He would die for our sins. There is no other love so GREAT. Enjoyed this poem!
