Still about the same person (that word seems most inadequate) who came into my life...

I am a fool
Most everyone says

I see too much of you
Even when you are not there
I think too much of you
I dream too much of you
I see too much in you

They say
You are not a goddess
You are not holding the rainbow
That soothes the storms
You are not whispering in the wind
That sighs through the trees
Sharing secrets and answers
You are not the song of the river
You are not a star winking
At me
You are not everything
I wish I were

I know you are all of that
And more

You are a fool
They say to me

But Iíll be a fool for you
As long as you
donít think I am a fool

We really can't help how we feel about another person. I love this poem - there's a great mixture of inventive imagery and emotion. It's easy to become overwhelmed by someone who has managed to capture a piece of one's heart. Love and Hugs~

I have to agree and do so vehemently with La Belle and Katy, they both said more than I can say herein, listen to them, the hell with the rest of the world, they are the fools for they know not of your life, it is just that, YOURS! Let them deal with their lives on their meagerly unenlightened levels...Peace thru Self Knowledge, Ed & Rufuz (rufuz agrees)

Regis, it is the fool who allows others' to dictate his/her heart's and mind's direction. Besides, you see rainbows and beauty that they can't see.. that's exactly why it's special. "They" (and 'they' know who they are) never 'get it'... Carry on, dear heart. You don't need anyone's approval, but you sure do have it! This is a fabulous, gentle rant by a very dear poet. As my mom would say: "they're just jealous!" and my mom was seldom wrong! (smile) katy xox.

Romantic Fool,i,e. Only Fool's Never Make Mistakes_

You Learn From Bad Experiences,Or You Do Not- But I Learned Hard As It Is_I DO NOT LOOK BACK!

EXAMPLE. 24 Years Past My X Girlfriend(5 Years Dating) Started Breakup, I was Writing My Books,(She Couldn't Handle I Was Writing) Unemployed I Said Hey F--k You, Never Saw Her Again_

Last December 2003-Me & My Car Problems Walking Thru Car Yard Back Up To My Hole Wall Apartment-A Brown Girl(Mexianos?) Walks By Me- Always Polite I Said How Are You_

After Opening My Door I Looked . Entrance To Garage As She Turned To Look In Garage- I SAW HER ASS_ It Hit Me _MY X-GIRLFRIEND(White Hungarian Jew)_Of 13 Brothers & Sisters_

I Simply Shut Door _ I DID NOT LOOK BACK! This Should Help Ease Your (Pain)Mistake!!

Firstly, the graphic is absolutely mesmerising - and a fitting representation when talking about your Goddess! Secondly, I can so relate to this, Regis... perhaps we are just fellow obsessionals, because anything/one who captures my attention just absorbs me completely in the ways which you describe - bit scary, really! Whether that constitutes "foolishness" I don't know - just temperament, maybe. But, as you pen here so well, the "spell" is broken the minute we sense "rejection" and our outstretched antennae recoil immediately - but, hey! Maybe I'm putting too much of my own spin onto this! Great write and right with you on this one! Thanks, Kate
