This is just for fun. Rhyming acrostics are not easy to come up with.

Happy Halloween   (Rhyming acrostic)

appy children in the street
All are eager here to greet
Pretty girls and handsome lads
Posturing as moms and dads
Young and old happy to meet
Hobgoblins hide among the trees
Among cornstalks rustles the breeze
Lights are dimmed by a chilling fog
Lonely ghosts moan in the bog
Owls call out from the woods
Witches peer from under their hoods
Eyes are glowing in the gloom
Echoes boom as from a tomb
Night is born from this dark womb

Wow! What a great Halloween poem. I love the use of orange color for the beginning letter of each line. That's creative on your part. The orange and black color are the colors of Halloween after all. The picture complements the poem well. Oh and you have nailed this acrostic in my opinion. Thanks so much for sharing.

This is cute Reg, and it flows so well too and without wasting a word. Thank you for sharing.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and who love you, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie.

A poem that greets like a dance in rhythm and rhyme, Regis--goodness, I alliterated. I especially like that comparison of moms and dads as the girls and boys. It is perceptive to note that sometimes they are having more fun out of it than the wee ones.......Jerry

A belated Happy Halloween to you too Regis. It was too warm here in Florida to be fall and ghouLish weather. I'll be happy to be back in Savannah next year where hot apple cider and Cinnamon sticks greet the adults who accompany the dressed out ghouls and ghosts.Susan
