Ok, you don’t like him, he don’t like you

You don’t like each other

But in the end, you’ll still be friends

Because that guy there’s your brother,


And your Ma’ will cry and ask you why

You have to fight and quarrel?

So you’ll make peace for a while at least

Which probably means tomorrow,


But when your Ma’ goes out there ain’t no doubt

That truce ain’t gonna’ hold

Because the wars back on soon as she’s gone

And revenge is best served cold,


So you knock him down, pin him to the ground

And laugh at him while he hollers

But he comes back with a counter attack

And grabs you by the collar,


And in the mill and throng that’s going on

A vase falls from the shelf

Well you blame each other then you blame your Mother

Because you’re never going to blame yourself,


But that vase is broke, this ain’t no joke

Your Ma’ will be mean as a hog

So you make up fast, clean up that glass

And agree to blame it all on the dog.

Obviously you were the big brother. I wasn't. The memories are still there, but not as fondly recalled as yours. Still, it's a very familiar and entertaining read. Well done, Dick

Sisters do it, too, Steve. My wonderful sis and I fought like cats and dogs; then we'd make up and be best friends. Thanks for the laughs!
