how does one get by
without
a safety net
and yet
some do
still, yet
a safety net
i would propose
to those
who simply cannot
do it/go it
alone
and what shall i
use ...
to form a
net so huge
to catch
the
f
a
l
l
e
n
fallen
down
and/or
outs
to capture war cried
shouts
of infamy and plagued
remains of days
without
without
without
much of anything to
f
a
l
l
safely into/onto
so do
i try
do i try
to
save
the
world
...... o u t s i d e
that
ventures
enter
my mind
would it be kind
to offer
what
i have
not
yet
built?

why can't
a poet's/human's cry
be
something
say enough
to move
move
... MOVE
this
this
pained
mother-
natured
earth
and
it's denizens
how,
how can
one
net amends?

for that matter
even simply
net-mend
never
ending
never
sending
the message? clearly out...

I WANT TO SHOUT
"NEVER AGAIN!"
"HAVE WE FORGOTTEN?"
"AGAIN!"

again?!
oh, no
no
no
NO?
it's that
the nature
of society, perhaps
for all too
far too
long,
has been so
ill-
begotten!

still,
may
i offer this
safety net
to
one or two or three or...

oh
may
i
see
it bulit?
a wordsmithed quilt?
a dream?
a joining-hands
of poet's/human's
need to be
to be
of use?
they
the form?
must not accept
this
"norm"...
NO!

so?
a padded blend
of peaceful,
loving
sharing
friends
who...
who if
could reach their arms
around this
this
this
mess...
yes!?
would yet
accept
those who
f
a
l
l

those who will
those who have still-nothing...
but
a dream
like this
of
net
spun need

only to be freed
from
ever
again
ever
ever ever...again!

and
again...?

This made me think of where have all the flowers gone. Member that song, mi-moo? And the circular nature of it. When will they ever learn indeed. Lovely thoughtful and sad. Brilliant and sensitive as always, my wonderful friend.
