Motivational dysfunction
Is what I have today
Can’t get off my sorry ass
To keep the simplest task at bay
I am not feeling puny
Don’t think that I’m depressed
But unfortunately the grindstone
Is not particularly impressed
The drawings all run together
The paragraphs confused
And now the stupid printer
My instructions has refused
The paper jams keep coming
My coffee’s gotten cold
As the boss’s expectations
Very clearly now unfold
I should have seen this coming
As I drove myself to work
My motivational dysfunction
Was beyond a simple quirk
So the next time that this happens
I will simply stay in bed
To let the world pass right on by
A pillow covering up my head
