That Almighty God loved us so much, He wrapped Himself in flesh and came down upon this earth so that all men could receive the Gift of Eternal Life...is in itself an unsurpassed 'Profound Miracle'. It is a Miracle that only our Great Jehovah, who '...created the heavens and the earth and all that in them is...", could have done. For He is God and God alone and absolutely 'NOTHING' is impossible for Him...He can do 'all' things. But what really astounds me...what really floors me and sometimes sends me into an ecstatic jubilatory frenzy is the fact that...He did it...for me. Yes, to really appreciate what Calvary was all about, each and every one of us has got to get 'personal' about it. If we do not grasp this marvelous revelation, we can get 'lost' in the 'crowd'. We will easily take God's 'Magnificent Sacrifice' for granted and we will find ourselves nonchalantly acknowledging the greatest demonstration of Power and Might that this world has ever or will ever see, with such words as, "...yes, yes... I know, I know...He died for me...but then, He died for us all..." And a statement such as this is true but, He died for us all 'individually'. And what do I mean by that? I mean that had 'you' been the only person on the face of the earth...He would have still gone to Calvary...just for 'you'! He saw you. Back there as He hung on Calvary...He saw you. He knew your name, He knew when and where you would be born, He knew how you'd look, He knew your likes and dislikes, He knew your strengths and your weaknesses, He knew your cares and your woes, your heartaches and your pains...He knew...how much you would 'need' the Cleansing Blood of the Perfect Lamb that would 'never' cease to flow. He could've chosen to never have gone to the cross...but...Love. He could have come down from the cross...but...Love. His eyes saw me...when He looked out from Calvary...and you.

You foreknew the confusion
and sometimes deep despair
When long ago You were sacrificed
for past and future years
Your eyes saw me...when You looked out from Calvary
You hung there by choice
bearing the shame
Filled with love, You accepted
the injustice of false blames
Your eyes saw me...when You looked out from Calvary
Though I know I'm not the only one
You, the Magnificent, God's only Son
...Had I been
still would have stood the agony...for my sin
Your eyes saw me...when You looked out from Calvary
Now, I 'know'... on the Blessed Shores
one day I shall stand
Beholding 'You'...
the Glory of Beulah Land
Wrapped in the splendor of victory
...I'll join in the Holy Revelry!
And all because...
Your eyes saw me...when You looked out from Calvary

a very personal poem that takes us by the hand, and leads us one by one, right into those hours when Jesus was suspended from that cross. When You Looked Out From Calvary, puts me right into this historical event, and I am struck by the significance of why He did it.
Thanks Joyce! This is a worshipful write.
