As This World Winds Down
+++ by Z.B.McClure
All the world winds down at night
and dreams? They come with sleep,
As every mortal slumbers on,
some above, some deep.
Awaiting their dear Shepherd's call
till commanding them arise
and leave this world behind, then for
that City in the skies.
All the world winds down at night;
We wear down while we wait!
And dream of where joy never ends~
inside of Heaven's gate.
Where neither sun nor moon will light
the streets through which we stream
Where Jesus is, there'll be no night,
no need to rest or dream.
