Memories

Were he alive, Daddy would be 107 years old

Were he alive, his daughters would have had 3 more decades to enjoy his presence

Were he alive, Daddy would whistle in the garden, read his Bible, yodel, tinker with broken gizmos until they were once again humming and useful, play with his great grandchildren and always love his family

Were he alive, we would bake lemon pie, and drink sweet tea

I miss Daddy as much today as I did back in 2004

Daddy's One Acre

How I wish I had time to read every single thing you have written, as you are splendid! I wish I could have had a good father. It must have been wonderful. Poetry can be anything we want it to be, by golly.
