Lament Of Love
I sang a lament of love to myself
A plea of the silent pilgrimages
Knowing we water the footfalls of our trials
Dearest Lord, walking amidst thine eyes
Your voice to visors of all mankind
I sing a lament of love to you
Far from the sheltering canopy of truth
The world of illusivity is unfortuned and sought
Offering our souls the ruins of the dust to dust
With no refuge for our eternal salvation
I shouted my lamentation of love to you
Your love is the ark of all ark’s love
The voyage that rescues sordid souls
Plundering deeper into their deepest roost
Their eyes grow leaden into their grave
As they wearily cry a lament of love to you too
You are the sacred fountain and anchorage
I too the unhinged carking of a life seeking
Traveled the pathways and silent grassy knolls
An illusion delivered by the gates of hellions ruin
I pour out all my lamentations weep to you
Among the quietude of all forsaken truths
I now sing glorious praise under your mountains
Unmined by the forked tongues of iniquity’s scream
As a pebble such as me was cast from the silent deep
I sing evermore my lament of grateful love to you…
