Muscles strained to the snapping
point, spine threatening to fold like
a deck of cards. Don't know which
way to turn without screaming--hurts
to walk, sit, breathe. Should be used
to this, but I'm not: life, with back pain.

|Oh, now this is one I can totally relate to! I just had my back surgery on July 29th. A disc fusion with a stomach entry. Been recovering ever since. I'm wearing my back brace right now. Not sure the surgery will have done me much good. Your description of the pain is perfect, Karla! So many times, I thought my back would snap in half. It's so exhausting, too. Stay strong.
PS. Not sure of your injury type. My hubby had back surgery for a herniated disc. He's found some relief with the Elaine Petrone Method, which is a ball(s) you lay on to rebalance/realign the spine. For my circumstances, it would be dangerous. Check with a doc first - his was prescribed, but I know you can buy them over the counter.

|Yes, sometimes one wished to lie in bed and send the world where peppers grow...but then again, we can let pain decide for us can we? so with a grunt we move the old bones into plass, stretched those lazy muscles and run like a wind...on our minds.

|-- ouch! -- back pain, that dreaded physical disorder -- I have been wearing a prescription transdermal patch on my back off and on for five years to combat the same problem -- my sympathy to you Karla -- I know from here you speak -- may your pain subside and decide to permanently retreat from your back -- God bless -- JMW|

|i HAVE BACK PAIN FROM ARTHRITUS. i TAKE aspirin for it, should not take it so much, but it is the only pain releiver I can afford. Alieve is so expensive. I am on limited budget. My back hurts now from the moving and all. I did help with lifting some. It's all done now but the unpacking of more boxes. Taking my time cause am in pain. I can relate to you. Prayers for you and me tonight too.
Don't mind at all doing that for a good person like you.

|Hello dear Friend,
I hope you get better soon. Love you.

|Hope your feeling well soon! I am blessed and only have minor trouble with my back, but my mom had to have her spine rebuilt with rods and screws, my brother has bone spurs on his spine, and my sister has buldging disks...so yes, I count my blessings for my back. You're in my thoughts and prayers. Oh, and thank you my friend for your heartfelt review of my Boomer, it's been rough....school started last week so it helps fill the void, but the evenings are lonesome. I'm almost caught up with my garden work and canning, and getting back in the swing of work...so to fill my void at home in the evenings I'll be back at the den with all my wonderful friends, I know it will help heal the wound and the loss.
Blessings from Ky.
