A Flu

Flu

Like a second skin of shattered glass
Encased in pain, each movement lasts
In every crevice doubled pain
With each new sting, the old remains
Lungs inhale  fragmented glass
Every breath now thought the last
Drained and weak, join lack of sleep
Demon trio pound by heaps
Isolation ,darkened room
Germs and virus twin and bloom
Veining death, this cruelest flu

Pigs

As you aptly write, the flu is not a bug, but rather an 800 pound gorrllla, tearing is apart from the inside

Pax,
The flu has just departed this house and I'm the one didn't get it (yet?) so I've spent the past week watching others go through what you say so well...so well.

Don't tell me you have the piggy flu: if so, you need to get some "oink"ment! Hope you feel better! I am sick too; have a bad head cold. Feel like ca-ca! My poor nose!!

Well done, and Happy Thanksgiving; seems like our Thanksgivings turned into TURKEYS!! (And that's NOT counting the Cajun-style turkey I ate!! LOL)

(((HUGS))) and much love, your fellow sickie, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :/ *ACCHHHOOOOOOOOO!!*

Apt, timely, and meaningful verses; my friend just spent seven days off work because of the H1N1 flu virus. She's back at work now. Thank you. Love and best wishes,
