Written some time ago; always true

My sister;
We cannot often share
the heavy burdens of our hearts
Nor hold each others' hands,
for we are miles apart
You cannot tell me; nor can I
express to you
the jagged, painful wounds
that sometimes mar our hopes; our dreams;
or scar our very beings
But every now and then
we talk for a little while
and your voice, your love, my sister,
puts the finest, softest padding
around my heart
And I am soothed, comforted, strengthened

I love you, my sister

A wonderful write that any sister can relate to...sometimes I do not see my sister for quite some time, but we talk on the telephone between visits and the miles and distance melts away. Enjoyed this much, very touching!

Sisters do seem to share a special bond that brothers just dont' seem to be able to duplicate, sisters can cry on each other's shoulders, brother's just punch each other and say let's have a beer.
