A masterpiece of lyrical tintinabulation with wonderful cadence and metric rhythm. This is a fabulous poem to read outloud.
I love your truthful humor:
"For what pride does a man not have,
if it isn't for his tool."
A terrific write, Paul!

Seriously, I found myself smiling a bit of a Cheshire smile.
You convey the feeling of a bit of confusion adding to the dreamlike state.
Really enjoyed this piece of work.

Paul,
Wow! My eyebrows shot up a few times on this one! Quite the surprise from you - a wonderful surprise, though. This has that enchanted dream feel, and your sense of humor here is both playful and tasteful. I see you've taken a don't-ask-because-I'm-not-telling stance...so I will have to be content to just enjoy. Enjoy I did! Hugs~

| :))))))))) An AGE thing????? Hopefully we will never be too old or too young for this kind of date, Paul! And needs so delicately met and with such chivalrous charm perhaps makes the "work" seem less odious or manipulative. Your rhyme and meter are flawless... I wonder why?? This rocks lyrically and with great tenderness and beauty. Kate xx |
