Ode To Beer Floats

You don’t know what you’re missing

I Try to tell my friends

It has the best of both worlds

But I guess that just depends

On whether you like ice cream

And enjoy an ice cold beer

Cause when you mix them both together

It’s not what you would fear

It’s really not like opposites

That attract the way they do

 More a like combination of

The flavors in a stew

The carrots love the onions

The celery pines for meat

Add the ‘maters and the spuds

And you end up with a treat

With only two ingredients

It has a fascinating taste

The only major problem

Is it does go to your waist

So here’s a cheer for beer floats

Let your exploring spirit fly

Get out your vanilla ice cream

And give the float a try

Somewhere, back in the far reaches of my mind, I remember you mentioning "beer floats" and I ignored it, but you were serious, weren't you? Sounds like a waste of good beer to me, but nothing ventured, nothing gained.... or so they say.

I love root beer floats, and I drink beer, so I'm gonna try this, leaving out the root next time!

Not a beer drinker am I
But I will give this a try
As for it going to the waist
Mine is already a disgrace

I have the middle age spread
My feet they feel like lead
But I count my self lucky
For I'm still not dead

Hi Patrick pleased to meet you
Great write I enjoyed
Hope you have a great day
