A Burrito Friendship

On the lighter side of life with a little message

Dedicated to David who inspired this

Bacon, potatoes, eggs, and cheese,

All wrapped in a warm tortilla

Nothing in this world beats a

Homemade breakfast burrito.

So delicious, yet so huge, hold it

In your hands, bacon falling out,

Potatoes too, you know this is just

Too much for you.

Salsa running on the floor making

Quite a mess, so what are you to do?

A burrito cannot be eaten alone, but

Always shared by two.

When a friend comes by staring at

Your burrito with a hungry look in his

Eye, give him half your burrito and

Tell him to give it a try.

And through all of life’s hardships,

It’s the little things that count.

Because nothing in this world could

Ever beat a burrito friendship.

Oh heck yeah! I make them in huge batches for the freezer so my daily routine is eased. I also add sausage and cilantro, always share. Patrick

Adorable write, Mary, but I'll pass on the burritos; don't eat Mexican food (can't have it, and my twin sis is so allergic to jalapenos if she has one, she quits breathing)! Not good! But this poem is; enjoyed~

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D

Now if you write about crawfish or Cajun food, I'll be the FIRST in line!! LOL *drooling*

You are absolutely right, there is nothing better in this wide world (some say the world is round, I scoff) than a homemade breakfast burrito!
