My mom underwent successful cancer surgery and was given Vicodin afterwards, which, shall we say, improved her attitude. Inspired by Ed Matlack and Georg Mateos, to the tune of the Spiderman cartoon

Vicodin Vicodin

Makes old ladies spidermen

Flying down the halls, climbing walls

Tormenting staff with false nurse calls

Oh yeah celebrate Vicodin

Vicodin grows you wings

You forget about all bad things

Physical therapist helps you stand

You tap dance on your bedpan

Oh yeah celebrate Vicodin

Vicodin patient’s choice

Helps release that inner voice

Visitors listening shake their head

Were it recorded playback you’d dread

Oh yeah gimme’ my Vicodin

Vicodin has run its course

Your soft voice is slightly hoarse

Stitches healing, on the mend

It hurts less now when you bend

Hey doc thanks for the Vicodin

Just had kidney surgery and given hydrocodene. Maybe not the same but at least I can breathe through the pain. Cute poem my friend. :)

A light take on a very serious subject. I haven't experienced Vicodin myself, but it sounds like one powerful drug. It appears to have multiple effects–some not so good. If it helps the people alive, I'm for it. Although it appears to be the kind of drug you should get off of it as soon as possible.

...and for those unruly patients and visitors, if swallowing Vicoding like popcorn doesn't work...well, you have always Valium suppositories at the end of a long stick! hahahahahahaha! (they come family size too!)
