'Round these parts we cool off in redneck pools...

Ain’t got hot yet,

But damned if it ain’t shticky,

Up is the damnable humidity,

Tomorrow the oven is cranked up,

Near a hundred the next two days,

Gotsta work, have ta live,

My brain of late a draining sieve…J

We’ve had good temps of late,

So I guess the heat is our karmic fate,

It is afterall summer time,

What can one do, we’ll all be cooked,

Just like steak of the variety prime…J

So I hope you do stay cool,

Sit and enjoy your backyard kiddie pool,

I have a sewer tank in my yard,

But with my life I do of it guard,

Full as it is with so many a stool…J

I try to get a little sun every day. Kiddie pools are not for me. I think you could have left the the last three lines off. Your poem would've been much more enjoyable.

Still too cool up here in Nova Scotia for swimming but I may just have to convert my old truck to one of them fancy mobile swimming pools in the picture.

Sorry to have to tell you, but we have had a pleasant, mostly cool June down here in the swamp, with wonderful afternoon showers for the last couple of weeks. Starting to heat up some though. Stools, eh? Toadstools?
