I turned my poem into a song...with Jesus's help. Let me know what you think...

Sometimes the way gets long
And the sun don't light our way
And it seems that no one listens
To a thing we have to say
Our burdens, they are heavy
Our cross too hard to bear
So we hang our heads in sorrow
Sinking deeper in despair

Its just a little bump in the road
Its not a mountain to climb
Its just a small hill in our path
Its not going to stop us this time
Just a little bump in the road
Its not all darkness we see
It doesn't seem to be so bad
When we are on our knees

Sometimes the tears are many
And you don't know what to do
You can't make it another step
Life's takes its toll on you
You are so tired of marching
Just to never reach the top
And everything inside of you
Is telling you to stop

Its just another bump in the road
Its not a mountain to climb
Its just a small hill in our path
Its not going to stop us this time
Just a little bump in the road
Its not all darkness we see
It doesn't seem quite so bad
When we are on our knees

When we are on our knees"your poem made me think a lot. These lines are like silver lining for the mood of disillusionment we often get into. Thank you dear Linda for sharing.

My dear sister Linda this is a magnificent piece of poetry. So much truth and inpiration and we can do it if we remember always to trust God and live on our knees! Thank you so very much for this wonderful song and poem, can't wait to hear it. You have another gift recording spiritual and religious songs before God and the world, get to work: Alleluia!!!

How beautiful this is. We have all faced these bumps and continue on. With the Lord guiding us we can make it. May God bless you every day of your life.

You have to keep right on to the end of the road Linda
Never allow yourself to become downcast and discouraged, because if you only knew who was walking alongside you all the time, you would never fear again

Life truly seems to be throwing lots of bumps at us, especially these sad days. But you are right, we must take one bump at a time, asking for a little help, along the way.

When we are on out knees that little bump on the road can appear unsumournable like a mountain, when faith should tell us it is only a mirage.

Moses traveled through the desert to the promised land. The pioneers traveled across the Rockies to their Promised land. My point is that sometimes the road is rough starting out, then it is smooth and the sky is clear at the end. I think your promised land is in your finger tips, because God gave you a gift for writing.

Wonderful, whether song or poem! I love uplifting Christian music. I could easily think of this as a song that would help me focus on the realities of God's presence and power. "For our light affliction, which is for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory."
Love, Connie
