If only this cryptic tale wasn't true ...

Carpet Woe Ditty

My travel began at the Depot
where I visited with Corelli,
but then moved on to Fort Zach
I found a home in Hope Bay,
but they wanted too much for the yard.

I talked with Rich and Abbey,
about Alexander Smith--
thinking he could remove my longing
for peaceful and quiet
Hope Bay

While I found I must truly admit
his home was a Nature’s Dream,
The reality of it was…
His yard was more than I’d pay
in Hope Bay.

I went to the great Northwest,
but I should have just gone to the moon.
I went to the Garage
and the Warehouse,
but my heart was still in Hope Bay.

Each time I went to the Depot
they tried to coerce me to buy,
but only wanted to sell me more yards…
when all that I really wanted
was a home full of yards of Hope Bay.

Funny. Hope Bay? Visit Hope, B.C. and you'll never want to leave it. The mighty Fraser runs past our door and oh it is lovely.Snow capped mountains in every direction too. Hope you find your Hope Bay and that it is a lovely as Hope, our town.

Ha! I just had new carpet put in. It took me three years, and a multitude of salespeople, to pick one. I can really relate to this ordeal. ~ Sara

They, keeping Hope at Bay-- fun write. But is it dark enough? Remember my stint with a light-colored carpet? All those kids... Ach, you'll be wise. ...can't wait to see it when it's all done. --Charlie

Cryssa, thanks for the smile this morning. It's always the way isn't it...you have your mind made up as to what you want...and they always try to sell you something else!

Maybe wooden floors would be more practical. This is one hoot of a right and can understand your frustration....

Cryssa,

This is so clever! Love it when you have your heart set on one thing (Hope) and they try to sell you everything except what you want. Well done, hope =] you get your Bay.
