Our lives are a blink in time just like a shooting star

Streaking across a moonless, cloudless night
its white-hot entry draws an arching line,
fizzles and dims before losing all light
while simulating lives like yours and mine.

Eternal stars still sparkle when it’s gone
and miss it not or even give a thought
to its so brief existence all alone
or atmospheric battles it just fought.

In space and time its life was just a blink
but for the shooting star it was profound.
Take some time to live life, love and think
while list’ning to life’s symphony’s sweet sound.

May you live as long as the earth and mars.
Be the one who’s remembered by the stars.

Chuck...when I read this it brought back memories of made me smile today and remember the importance of stars and dreams.

Star Light Star bright,
The first star I see tonight,
I wish I may, I wish I might,
Have the wish I wish tonight.

Thank you for the memories, but more than ever the eternal stars of others that still shine bright.

We are stardust,
we are golden,
and we got to get ourselves...
back to the garden....
or into that celestial garden of rare delight...

This is a fine sonnet, my friend.

Don't know how many of us will have the effect of a shooting star but what we do on earth may last longer and have a greater impact than that luminous star in the sky.

It is an enjoable moment to be privileged to read a composition in major poetic art, ~ poemized with symbolic and emotional stimulating contents dealt wisely, ~ and poetized with superb lexis.

"Life Is Like A Shooting Star" is a poetic flower scented by Erato.

In admiration,

Andre Emmanuel Bendavi ben-YEHU
