Trust can be given or it can be earned,
For some it isn’t even a concern.
At times it's so complex,
Many wish it were a simple reflex.
Just when it seems you've found the one,
You accuse him for something another has done.
It isn’t fair to make one pay for another’s sin,
Yet you find it so hard to trust again.
Give yourself time,
To sit back and watch him self define.
Perhaps then you can lower the walls,
And let love flow like the Niagara falls.
