Little Yellow Flower

In my dream I had a  vision of myself

I was a  little yellow flower

so egar to face the wind

to bask in the sunlight

sensing
the ultimate purpose in life

was to give.. to promote growth

Not like the rose

its loveliness

confined to the stem

made unaproachable by  thorns

The little yellow flower

 symbolizing the real beauty

the true beauty of life
  and its seeds

carried by the winds of thought

to souls hungry for fruits of word

Those seeds of verse
blown to  fields of seeming  dispair

 shall grow to fruition

in time

Even the light of the sun

shall appreciate its visit to those fields

no sadness there

but unpresedented joy

for I have done

what creation has asked of me
I have given life

I have taken that

covered in shadow

and bathed it in light

The stem now withered

is only a reminder

to look beyond me

to the many fields

of bright colored flowers

where life's most sought after secret

lies in the love of an unselfish heart

Therein lies true immortality

in the flowered fields

and in the glory of deep sighs

Planted in the name of growth, Little Yellow Flower is a purveyor of Truth and Light, Vesna...poetry for specimens crossbred with wild strains and domestic seeds dispersed through the winds of change. Heartfelt and rooted in its message...be well.

Sage

Ah, soft/deep connect here, Vesna. Over in Kentucky and here in my heart is a yellow flower named Patty. We've known each other for years and gone through much together, and we are more married than married. Mayhap she and I both being empaths has somewhat to do with that. But then, yellow flowers are like that. Cheers :-)

Ahhh, sweet sister... you speak of what is changing in our hearts, that which is often difficult to put into language. This is a poem of heart-speak... thankyou.
