the insincerity he spews

is more than I wish to hear

is more than I care to bear

             it has become impossible

      to tolerate his empty words

      and ineffective actions

          even while on the street

        where anonymous

  sound bites of city nights

reach across each and every avenue,

I can hardly stomach

the weight of his fantastic revelations

   and fraudulent resurrections

they bear down on me like the weight

      of a fruitless word wrestler

wrangling down a dark dingy street

               following me through ancient alleyways

          stalking me

like a jilted ghost inside a lucid dream

            refusing to release me

perhaps i'll cast his words into a river

          say good-bye

          and good ridden

I like that this voice is fed up. I like that the action is evasion instead of collision. Great atmosphere of disgust and remedy. Grit and grist and even a reek of some sort are in here. Good effect.

... powerful stuff and this is some relentless haunting going on here. You conjur such intimacy with this pestering character that it could easily apply to a much more personal "thorn in the flesh" than a mere socio-political figure on the larger world stage - perhaps even a dogged alter ego that refuses to let you forget "where you've come from" (we all have those!) Like others have already commented, the stalking "jilted ghost... refusing to release me" really strikes a chord: what is it that some people have over us that makes it so difficult to shake them off, even with the skilled useage of lucid dreaming which puts the ball squarely in the court/control of the dreamer? Perhaps this is even a Jekyll and Hyde complex exposed and explored. I like the way this poem is so "pregnant" with the desire to exorcise this aggravation, contrasting nicely with the empty and vacuous nature of the bugbear. xx

Hey Jude,
Another amazing poem, capturing the world in which you are studying...Just for the record, I know a few people who could take care of this for you....wink wink...lol

Anyway, great poetry, and next time, pick something a bit more lighter for your study of human energies...I love when you are soft..less rough. well you know what I mean...it must still be the meds...lol, lol...

Peace, light and love,
Amber

If they would just go away and leave us alone, life would be a far better thing for all concerned. Sometimes you just gotta do whatever it takes to free your soul from insanity. I like these words: "stalking me like a jilted ghost inside a lucid dream" I have been there before.
Take care,

I thought for a moment you were talking about that big bag of bull shit, Rush Limbaugh, but then you got real personal, eye for an eye like, and decided to remove his thoughts in a Mafia way, good riddance.
