Picture perfection a valley rich
between snow capped iconic
mountains fit for the king and
his queen with sun drenched
orange groves for their aromatic
senses to frolic and play

Years passed for a precious
princess to be born
completing their magic circle

Love so often going awry for no
fairy ending here as evil reared
breaking their spirits in a fiercely
swirling funnel cloud expelling heart
sorrow into utterly bitter ominous
wills to fend for themselves

Abandonment with raw emotions
kept the queen and princess torn
apart in the ensuing years with
regrets in raging blame for a king
no longer deserving of his throne
but no where to be found to answer
for his crimes of passion

In time appropriate green grew a
new haven for the Mother and
Daughter union of never ending
love re conciliations splendored by
each wind blowing of a mighty oaks strength for the next yellow and
orange transition of filtering rays
will surely follow their days end
to begin again and again

Many seem to have this need to start their lives over again.

This has the air of all those stories we read as kids but with a modern twist. No wicked witch this time, just a king with a wandering eye. Of course it ends well and we all like a happy ending, don't we.

...a vista's visage...more than mere mirage...a virtual haven of haloed heaven...haunted only by the vestige of one whose pale virtues daunt and disappoint... but your poem does not... rare and radiant imagery fringes these finessed lines and puts more than a varnish of value to the sentiments... giving them a sentience all their own... a life sentience that can never end... rare and radiant...

I find myself damning the king and asking why, why of the princess and queen. I shall find contentment with the hopeful ending.

Seeds left to bring life should never be a crime...I was engulfed in this passionate story...wanting more...it can't end!

The Queen's gain is the King's loss begun years ago. In the end, his aromatic grove has produced him nothing but bitter fruit. Patrick

I'm with Jude. A never-ending circle. You poetry has enough visuals in them for forty poems to be made from them. Excellent.
