Friend

Babbling brook, come talk to me,
bank me your ear, be my  friend,
freely,  I will run beside you,
count on me, at every bend

From your mouth, downhill journey,
naturally, your beauty is praised,
wetness pure, promise on my lips,
doubts to droughts, never to be raised

A good friend is worth her weight in rubies! No fair weather friend in this lovely poem that is full of hidden meanings and nuances. Good friends hold back nothing from one another and do not let anything get in the way of their friendship..."doubts to droughts, never to be raised." You said this soooo beautifully, Christine. Another keeper!

This as always is captivating. It grips the heart, stirs the soul and makes the reader realize that there is more to this world than we often think. To be a friend who can inspire such a delicate flower of a poem would indeed be a blessing. Enjoyed and treasured this flowing art.
