A journey always needs preparation, whether one of philosophy or artistic expression. How to pack for arrival. How to be ready. No one answer.

Far Away Place

From such a far away place
comes this distant voice within
where time does not limit
once volcanic energy
now at transient rest

yet so far away
this voice hovers
holding course above
the manifestations now like
sedimentary remnants
cooled by repeated tears
one's unresolved eruptions

high above flames of energy's core
we wait to hear

our eyes weep memories
droplets fall
invading the buried stratum
others condense into damp updrafts
passion's latent storms rise to prepare

such might be today's citations

a lesser far away place
where interim makes known
its timbre of distant echoes
flames of consciousness rise

melt layers needed to release
the chorus of syllabic tone
chosen to embrace the voice
transforming the communication of choice
splatterings
tympani clangors
scribbles
lateral
vertical
round
straight
all the swaths of suspension

voices settle
whisper their once molten message
as a breeze for awakening
gently vibrating the hieroglyphs of vision

abstracts seek resolve
into a template
a form
an encasement protecting
discernment
tidings
cautious venturing into one's private pantology

eventually...

cooling of roiled expansion
binds into layers of cognizance
scribbles modulate into symbols
eventuating coherent wonder
transforming dissonance
into melody
still complex
yet soft to the ear
eye
touch
consciousness

finally

voices of artistry
distilled into listening
vie to be heard
rather than feared

and so

the creative duet
becomes maker and repository
enjoined in a one-voice echo
gathering other tone colors
along the way
enriching the chorus
surrounding infinity's aria

always in concert
the unfinished opus of time
the multi-voice canvas of black
bound by borderless dream-colors
forever transports its passengers
through the endless creative expressions
always known
but needing recall

such is that far away place
realized simply as
ah hah...

ah hah

Beautiful phraseology that I only connected in the last line.

At first I thought of that old song: “ T dictationhose faraway places I've been dreaming about…” But that is not what the poem was about.

tremendously evolved thinking, Odin,
matched by superior language and phrasing
to convey with ease and confidence;
this is impressive

Always like the idea of Boy Scout always prepared, super organized. just never seems to ring true. Here to there can be so far. Maybe ah hah has been replaced with ut oh lately. but, the chorus the concert the journey in the end is what it's about.

Gotta love the understated last verse. After everything else has had its voice, it is the "ah hah" which resonates, and although understated, it is powerful.

This to me, by far, is the most meaningful piece I've seen that you have written. Where are you today? Surely it is a place of deep reception. Man! "a lesser faraway place" . . . this writing spills over. "eventuating coherent wonder" "vie to be heard/rather than feared" "borderless dream-colors" "ah hah" . . . Arresting. ~~ Diana
