I Secreted My Secrets in a Sly Place

I secreted my secrets in a sly place,
Covered them with a slicker from the rain,
In hopes that mold and rot will not take hold,
I secreted my secrets in a sly place;
What is hidden in that dreary, dark place,
Is the answer to every maiden's prayer,
I secreted my secrets in a sly place,
To be revealed when men can understand.

my 5th read and i came to the conclusion that whatever a maiden's prayer might be is probably best left unknown...cannot be less than devious ...methinks

Ah, the ever needling conundrum of trying to find the elixir to help the brotherhood of Neanderthal-macho creatures to understand. Well, it sure offers much to be written about.

Man will never understand...its been over 2000 years since He hung on a cross and man has NOT yet changed...or if you believe that man has been around since dinosaurs...then they have had even more time to understand this old world and all he has done is to make it worse, instead of better...

Sly place or not, secrets rarely remain secret once awareness that they exist becomes prevalent. We all know now,,, you’d best prepare for the big rush my friend. Dick

Ok, secrets kept covered that
brought great emotion as you
hid them in the depths of yourself
As though, my thought only...
but you say an answer to "every maiden's prayer"
Perhaps as a man, not allowing others men or women
know the tender soul you are as you have had to
protect yourself due to past tragedies and sadness
perhaps I am wrong, just how I read it for myself.

Wonderful thoughts to ponder again Jerry!

You make me curious what secrets can be the answer to "every maiden's prayer" and "to be revealed when men can understand".
I hope one day you will reveal them for us.
Beautiful deep thoughts Jerry

Jerry,
There is a lot said here for many to ponder. maidens prayers might should be left hidden from most men, you maybe should keep them in a sly place..safe and secret still. Too many might use them for ill.
