Poltergeist Scene

Well it is getting close to Halloween . . .

Rain had left the lawn soaked and wet,
The house was dark inside.
The floor groaned: someone was within
Among the dark to hide.

I stood still, shadowed by the trees
'Twas a warm June night.
The house was locked as though to sleep,
Oh, for a flashlight; bright.

Were they watching me from within?
I will confess unease.
Suddenly I knew they were gone,
Left softer than a breeze.

While I cowered beneath the trees,
Nothing moved, all serene.
Though they had left somehow I knew,
'Twas a poltergeist scene.

Oh, what a good take! That "it" was watching you from inside the house is really spooky! I love it!

Love ya!

Ah a stigmatized home :)
And those were locked within for a reason
Spooky and loving it, I can see the scene
as though I am standing in your shoes

Great imagery but I am left wanting. Wanting the story to go on... wanting you to venture out of the shadow and in to this haunted house...

My take on the poltergeist is this. All dead things if left to rot give off an aura that is quite distinguishable from old house dust. If there isn't anything around to give off that aura, a fart will do. ;-)
