To be able to study some empirical truth in silence. Such is lost in the sound barrier blast of power mongering.
The quiet of near silence
Where tonal resonance
Awaits its moment
Flexing its threshold
Vibrations will rise
Shouting will ensue
Seeking desperate reverberation
Noise often starts
As barbed whispers
Beginning to choke

|This has the constituents of 'apartment argument" in ample measure. "Vibrations will rise" is the clue for this, and you have delivered the raking truth in your choice of "barbed whispers" choking. Yikes!! Sharp delivery. ~~ Diana|

|This at once reminded me of: "hello darkness my old friend, I've come to talk to you again."
From Simon and Garfunkels 'Sounds of Silence'.
It also brought to mind several quotes ...
"With silence favor me" ...
"Great souls endure in silence" ...
"Silence is a text easy to misread" ...
"Silence is one of the hardest arguments to refute" ... AMEN!
And one of my favorites: "well timed silence hath more eloquence than speech"...
hahahahahahaha ... some poets, Odinsan, should take that last one to heart.
I enjoy thoughtful constructs that fire the synapses, such as this.

|As usual, I am lost in your words as I listen, “to the sound of silence.” Still, they are entrancing and draw me in.
