A Wrong Turn?

When you come to a fork in the road
Itís really not that profound
If you donít end up where you want to be
You can simply turn around

Despite maps and instructions
I rarely find myself where I planned
Donít try to tell me where I went wrong
Truly, I wonít understand

Iíve been lost so many times in my life
Itís no longer a cause for concern
Iíve realized how to embrace the trip
And the lessons I must learn

Itís not so much that Iím wandering lost
My life is a journey of discovery
It doesnít matter if Iím on the wrong road
Iím headed in the direction I need to be

A cup of coffee and new route
Will get me on my way
I will simply forge ahead
Until I find reason to stay

Excellent poem. I like the picture too! I almost expect to see someone crawl out from under the car and say "Well, It's like this. . ." This was a joy to read and view.

Like the photograph with all the cactus! When things such as this used to happen with me I would just tell the kids we were on an excursion and it will be a surprise when we reach the end....

Be safe,

Wrong turn equals new adventure. You and I have the same mind set in this regard - a new journey, a new direction, different scenery, and God at our side. What more could you ask for? [Directions at the corner gas station, perhaps? Nah! lol]

Been on an adventure or two with you and love it.

Love you,
Kathy

Strong and true statement that says so much not only on life but of the character of the writer...I enjoyed this one Rae and sure wish I was in that Jeep headed to anywhere.
