Cut-and-Paste, Hope

I broke.
No "am" intended.
I broke.
Not sure how often.
Not sure how much was my fault.
Maybe I should apologize.
I won't.

Got a lot of company,
don't I.
Crazy Glue ourselves back
together,  deserve kudos,
no?

Got to keep a tube on hand.
Cap it tight, so it doesn't dry
or end stuck to itself
when Trouble shows
you know?

All those openings,  however small,
where we couldn't prevent
cracks because bits and
pieces crushed
or went missing
are there for another reason,
one can only
suppose.

Vessel builder is asking
for the floor.   Something
about fragile leading to
humble, humble to  a
stronghold?

I wonder if there is a limit to the number of patches one can have or do we become something else when there is more glue than you??? Wonderful write, loved the depth of this one.
Take care,

Pea,
This has the touch of brilliance, the language choices and above all the phrasing and style...the undertow is overwhelming.

Pea ~ A wonderful write!! Only I have never understood, withholding an apology, when you know it is due. It is a very humbling experience. Again, great write! Be Well, Carin'

Is it only me, or is there a definite underlying message withing the lines of this well written poem, Phyllis? In any event this is one of those pieces of poetry that leave the reader grasping for meaning and wonder, and that is a good thing.
