Was listening to the above a few nights ago. It wouldn't let go until I wrote the following....

It’s a loud song, jivy, full of movement

Sung by a nattily dressed little gnome

With ridiculous glasses, and if he believes

Anything he sings, the heart of a lion.

I wish I had a nickel for all the times

I’ve been knocked down and left for dead

I’d be a rich man now-I AM a rich man,

Because I am still standing, no matter what

A million times, and yet like the song,

Like one of those inflatable punch-up dolls,

I will get up again. Resilience compels me,

The message still clear: I am still standing.

Though I get knocked down a million times

I’m still standing. My faith in the One who

Empowers me, enkindles in my soul a like faith.

I am still standing, and I will stand regardless

Great attitude and perspective Chip. It says a lot about your resilience.
I am reminded of a quote I read that says: "It does not matter how many times you fall or are pushed down, as long as you get up each time".
You did not write this quote did you?
To your continued success~

Well Chip, I must confess that your poem makes me envious. You are still standing. I am quickly becoming very limited to either standing or walking.
Oh, well, I can still sit and lie down and glad I can do that.

Still standing and may I add, standing tall. Well said, my friend.

Elton is one of my all time favorites.

Thanks Dick
