It never fails to make me feel warm and young at heart to see those first few snowflakes drift down every fall...they are my magic dust from heaven to me it is a magical moment each year

The Snowflake Day Dream

By: Felix L. Perry

This morning I watched a single snowflake

Drift by me on the autumn air

Then when I looked I saw another

And I wished that you were here

Together we could walk and listen

To the whispers of the pines

Maybe catch snowflakes on our tongues

Like way back in childhood times

Perhaps later that same evening

Around a fire in an open hearth

We could just watch the world go by

As the purity of snow enwraps the earth

We could sip hot cocao with marshmallows

Hear the wind now blowing strong

Perhaps I’ll tune up my old six-string

Maybe I’d even sing for you a song

The sun comes out, the snowflakes stop

Alone I lean against a naked tree

Draw the curtain on this daydream

That just wasn’t meant to be…

Lovely wouldn't it be nice? Me too, I enjoy the first snow cover thick and white and yes it takes one back to childhood angels in snow, letting it melt in your mouth cuddling by fires
thanks for bringing the great memories to mind about a sometime hard season

really enjoyed

Oh Fee, how fabulous! I want to see the snow! I want to walk in the woods and build a snow man. Add the marshmallows and stoke the fire. I'll sing with you when you play your guitar. Love this!

Beautiful, but what's snow to a Texan? LOL We get a flurry, they close the state! LOL Well done, Fee, you took me to your Winter wonderland, and I am grateful. Come Spring, you'll be so sick of white...LOL Enjoyed.

Beautiful dream, indeed; now how about sending some of those snow flakes down HERE?? We don't see snow that often here; I really miss it! Very well penned; bravo!

Yes, I would like very much to be there, although, hold the marshmallows with my cocoa.
My bones say the snowflakes are great on the outside of the window.
But...your heart is going to melt all of them!

What fun and the picture is soft. There's a wonderful song in my head as I read this...Walking in a Winter Wonderland". Us people down south don't get to witness this. It is a phenomenon for me/ Enjoy it for me.
Love,
Susan

A lovely poem and a great picture, my friend. I, too, love watching those first snowflakes in the wood, and strolling through the forest on a snowy day. I doubt I could live anywhere that didn't have all four seasons to enjoy.

Soon you'll have enough snow to make a snowman or two, but for now enjoy your dream. I did, and I was right next to you enjoying what might have been - we don't get a lot of snow in Albuquerque. Gotta' head out of town to truly enjoy the snow.

Love. Kathy
