Daddy's Hands

Our greatest wish has been fulfilled today

For we were abundantly blessed with you

Hearts overflowing with love and joy

For today we welcome our new baby boy

 

Months spent in anticipation

As the day of your birth came near

Gave away to overwhelming love

Our eyes filled with happy tears

Now I hold you in my hands

Visions running through my mind

Of you as a child growing up

Into a smart and loving man

My little boy you will be ours

As you take your walk through time

Holding your hand tightly

As up the ladder of success you climb

We will always be there for you

As you grow into manhood

Through happy days and smiles

Sad ones filled with trials

But always remember one thing

My precious little one

This is the very first day of your life

Your adventures have just begun
