Vivid. Transports one to both an historic and cruel social realm. And it is especially good that Anne Bonny can take her place among the privateers and other swashbucklers - she takes me o'er the bounding main!

... every time you write in a different style, I think it is my favourite Belle genre... until the next one! You make balladic rhyming verse seem so effortless, darlin, yet unique and refreshing at the same time. And your tale of Bonny Annie fair bristles with zest and intrigue which quickens the appetite for more: Penelope Cruz with (even bigger!) knobs on... :)) xx

a steamed up tale o' the briny kind
and a bosomy maiden thrown in to boot
'tis true the kind we men don't mind,
she's used to knives, but can she shoot?
Well penned, Poetess Of The Heart La Bell Rouge!
Be well and at peace with those whom you meet.

Hell, Amber, sounds like a full-fledged novel to me. You have it all, here, Belle. Upstairs-Downstairs and pirates and gut-gutting and . . . Write on . . .

Belle, I'm not familiar with the legend, but I agree with Amber, I'm more than ready to read more about it/her. Like this a bunch.

Belle, Sounds like the beginning of a trilogy to me...I love the language and rhythm of this poem, it's very entertaining to read. She is a hellion for sure, I can see and man what is she up to next???
Love this,
Peace, love and light,
