Sweet dissension flows through our veins.

Delicate tendrils of trust unplugged,

dangle in uncertainty.

Passionate admiration

the anchor

grounding us in time...

Sweet loving dissension

beyond all reason or ryhme

A brilliant portrait of life in very few words: Without dissent life is nothing.

Many people will not get what this poem is about. But some would say that 'sweet dissension' is an oxymoron, others would say there is no such thing, and still others would be scratching their heads wondering what was said here.

You have taken the human condition and made it into a reality for us to see that our sweet dissensions flow through our veins unplugging a delicate trust, whatever delicate trust that may be. This poem has an ethereal quality to it. Thank you for sharing.

May the Lord Jesus bless you and always be with you, and walk by your side always. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, and (((((((((((((((((((((((((MANY, MANY HUGGGSSS)))))))))))))))))))))))), your den sister, Barbie

I read this piece aloud also and I enjoyed it. Then I read it to myself and enjoyed it too.

Yes, Pat,
Christine is right, this poem stands the test of being read aloud
and with its fine phrasing, unbroken flow and superior word choices it is very worthwhile indeed.

Those little niggling, wonderings that reside in the corners of our minds...I sometimes think that these are the emotions that keep the contempt out of the relationship that familiarity breeds. A deceptively deep poem Pat, I love it!
