Where there is a spark, there may be a real flame. Lust is not essential for love to blossom, but it is essential for creating new life and the love that results from it. As your poem expresses, lust can be a powerful motivator. That's why I let it take me over sometimes.

As a man, yes, even at my age, with all the beautiful women about, I fall in lust nearly once a day, but it takes a special someone and a special magnetism to turn that lust into something more meaningful.

Good to see you, Chessly, it has been a while.
Yep. Lust is the attraction, and it can hold the flame for a while, but lust gets bored with the same old same old, and the hot fires subside and turn off eventually. Unless you have turned lust into true love it is a train wreck. |
