They Stood
They stood facing each other
Fingers tenderly laced together
Inhaling the essence of another
Merging as a blossoming flower
Our nectar so sweet of another
It calls the bees to pollenate
One flower to the other from us
So that all may flourish as we
As two souls who once slept
Now awakened from their dream
Hearts intertwining in loves vines
Implanting one to the other growing
Your breath upon my neck waters
As my breath upon yours nourishes
Eyes sparkle with the life they have found
A life afore which had been dead
The gentle touch we exchange
In the tenderness of the kiss
Brings the magic that we share alive
Coursing through like a waterfall
If this be but a dream we share
May this dream last an eternity
For I never wish to awaken
Only to see as we both are now
For our warmth is as the sun
Our rays ever releasing
Beams upon mother earth
And all shall grow of it
So is this purity of another
All shall wish to drink of it
For we are of freshest waters
Cooling our revitalizing drops
For we are the waters
Which bring life to all
As the greenest of a leaf
Newly opened in spring’s breath
You are my safe haven as I yours
Where once there was none
We behold all our worldly secrets
Now two are hearts filled with love
