When Gardenias Bloom Again
By La Belle Rouge

take my hand
and donít look back
to mourn Summerís fire

I have loved you
so longÖ.so very long

through our apricot Autumn
and Indian Summer

Winter has overtaken us
blown in on a bitter wind
of suffering

we knew snows would come
but why so swiftly?

take refuge in my heart
warm by the hearth
of my love

Winter will pass, soon,
soon, My Love

and we will embrace
once more in our garden
when gardenias bloom again

8/25/2012 La Belle Rouge

Belle, I understand this message of love challenged by the uncontrollable influences of our lives - yet sooner or later the gardenias bloom again and we return to the embraces of our love - a beautiful display of scribing human emotions - I wish you love peace and great joy my dear friend - Jon Michael

Only someone as beautiful as your
heart *La Belle* could express such
love within each of the seasons..
as the lush music is so fitting...

Has an old-fashioned quality to it, like a the poem crafted in the nineteenth century. Winters were harsher then, and summer blooms were expected from well-kept gardens.

Since I am late in getting to an appointment I had no intent of commenting on what I read here while sipping my coffee...but this is far to beautiful and hopeful for me not to leave you kudos, La Belle. This poem is perfectly paird with one of my favorite pieces of music. Your words gently bathe the soul like the whisper of love floating upon the wind. I truly love this.
Take care,
Sherry

This is so good, La Belle, and I have to admit, I needed to read something of this sort in a poem today. You are so good with these love poems.

Lady La Belle ~
Lovely Gardenia's blossoms and the scent richest perfume.
Love resinates the seasons to the heart once and again.
Beautifully penned by our La Belle Rouge.

What beautiful prose La Belle Rouge, of love
and sometimes the ups and downs, the fading and
blooming.

Gardenias are one of my most favorite
flowers, the essence is pure ambrosia to the senses
with delicate petals that cannot be touched lest
they turn brown.

Lovely

Love and Light
Lily
