Shadows played
Dancing softly in her room
In her little corner
She didn't see the darkness
Never thought about the gloom
She didn't feel
The terrible pain anymore
She sit quietly all alone
Curled in a ball on the floor

<><><><><><><>

Shadows played
As the fighting got worse downstairs
She wasn't afraid
Just wish she had someone who cares
She knew soon
Her Mommy would come to her door
Take her rage out on her
Like she has so many times before

<><><><><><><>

Shadows played
As she watched the curtain sway
If wishes came true
She'd wish her Mommy away
She heard her steps
As she slid closer to the wall
She heard the click of heels
Coming fast down the hall

<><><><><><><>

Shadows played
As a glow He came in the night
She felt somehow comforted
By the figure surrounded by light
He radiated such love
Her heart to young to understand
As the door burst open
Jesus reached out for her hand

Repost

Authors Note:  Did Jesus come simply to comfort
or did He come to take her home?    You decide for yourself the ending.   I want to tell a story that REALLY happened in my hometown.  A family was browsing in a music store,  their little girl was on the other side of the store looking around.   A car ran through that side of the store.    The family was frightened knowing their child was standing at the worst impact,  but she was safe standing at the other end of the store!  She said Jesus had picked her up and moved her there.   What a joyous miracle that is!    I wanted to share that with you!  If His eye is on the sparrow...I know He watches me!

I'D LIKE TO THINK HE CAME TO TAKE HER HOME WITH HIM, BUT THEN AGAIN, DID HE DISSIPATE HER MOTHER'S MADNESS IN AN INSTANT? THERE'S A WHOLE LOT OF ROOM TO GO IN MANY DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS, IN ANY CASE...JESUS IS THE HERO, AS HE ALWAYS IS. AND THE TRUE STORY YOU SHARED IS ONE OF MANY I'VE HEARD OF GOD MIRACULOUSLY INTERVENING AND PREVENTING A TRAGEDY. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS & FAITH...
